Root Beer Pulled Pork

Crock pots are one of the best inventions ever! I use mine for everything! Soups, meat, pasta, desserts! Such an easy way to cook.

I like to make my pulled pork dish often because everyone seems to love it. There are only a couple ingredients and it comes out so juicy and tasty.

Here it is:
2 lbs lean pork tenderloin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 cups of root beer (I like to use Barq's Root Beer, I love the flavor)
12 oz of BBQ sauce (Any kind you like, I prefer Sweet Baby Rays)

First chop the loin up into medium size chunks, then salt and pepper the pork.Heat a skillet with some EVOO and lightly brown the pork on all sides.

Place the browned pork pieces into the crock pot and season with garlic powder. Next pour the root beer in and cover. Cook for 6-8 hours on low.

After 6 hours the meat should be done. Drain the root beer and fat out of the crock pot, then shred the meat. Once all the meat is shredded, which should not take very long if the meat is fully cooked, add in the BBQ sauce and stir.

Serve on your favorite buns!
